UML Class Diagram Example - Medical Shop

This sample was created in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM diagramming and vector drawing software using the UML Class Diagram library of the Rapid UML Solution from the Software Development area of ConceptDraw Solution Park.

This sample shows the work of the medical shop and is used at the creation of the medical shop or pharmacy project, for understanding the process of shopping in the medical shop, for keeping purchases, for medical supplies.

TEN RELATED HOW TO's:
When describing any computer network, we imagine a set of devices and nodes, arranged in some way. Talking about network structures, we should distinguish physical and logical network topologies, as physical topology is about devices location and logical topology illustrates data flow. In the same time, they do not have to match, and some devices, such as repeaters, may have a physical star layout, but a bus logical topology. There are two main types of computer network topologies: Physical topology that show the physical organization of a network - equipment and types of connections. Star network topology involves a set of devices that is connected to a single hub (router). Ring network topology means that, devices connected according this topology have two connections, connecting with nearby devices to make a loop. Bus network topology is the topology presented at the current diagram. It is similar to a ring topology. The difference is that data moves up and down a linear connection, copying itself where network equipment works as bus-stations along the way. This network topology can be used for small network, or when adding an extra device into a network.Network Topologies

Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) is the world-known way to show the logical structure of databases in visual manner. The best software tool for drawing Entity-Relationship Diagram is ConceptDraw DIAGRAM vector graphics software with Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) solution from Software Development area which gives the ability to describe a database using the Entity-Relationship model. The vector graphic diagrams produced using this solution can be successfully used in whitepapers, presentations, datasheets, posters, or any technical materials.Entity-Relationship Diagram *

There are many tools to manage a process or to illustrate an algorithm or a workflow. Flowcharting is one of those tools. However, it may be difficult to show complex processes that require multiple attributes or several people in a simple flowchart, so a cross-functional flowchart would be a solution for that situation. To create such flowchart, group processes and steps to labeled rows or columns, and divide those groups with horizontal or vertical parallel lines. It is worth mentioning that there are different types of cross-functional flowcharts, like opportunity or deployment flowchart. This diagram shows a cross-functional flowchart that was made for a trading process. It contains 14 processes, distributed through 5 lines depicting the participants who interact with the process. Also there are connectors that show the data flow of information between processes. The cross-functional flowchart displays a detailed model of the trading process, as well as all participants in the process and how they interact with each other. The lines in the flowchart indicates the position, department and role of the trading process participants.Cross-Functional Flowchart

A workflow diagram is less general notation than a process flow diagram. Workflow as a term can apply to organizational process which involves people, resources, documents, sort of data, for instance; whereas a process is general collection of steps occuring in any sort of activity. That is why process flow diagram can be used as workflow diagram to describe business process, data flow or department interactions. The fastest way to create a workflow diagram is using pre-designed workflow template. ConceptDraw DIAGRAM with the Workflow Diagrams solution delivers rich set of workflow diagram templates you may start from. How To Create a Workflow Diagram *

You can use many tools to create a representation of a system behavior or a scheme of objects relationships. Some of them are quite abstract and useless, and some, like UML tools help clarifying both the structure and the behavior of a system. There are various types of uml diagrams and tons of examples explaining the difference between them. UML 2.2 specification has many kinds of diagrams. They are divided into two groups( structure and behavior diagrams). This class diagram shows the hierarchical structure of UML 2.2 specification. Class diagram - the most suitable tool for this task because it is designed to describe basic structure of a system. This diagram can be use as a visual aid for learning UML.UML Tool & UML Diagram Examples *
