How to Create a Floor Plan Using ConceptDraw PRO

How to Create a Floor Plan Using ConceptDraw PRO

Making a floor plan is the best way to get a handle on how to organize your living space, and find out what could be changed. Creating a floor plan to scale is a challenge of the home and interior design process and can be noticeably helpful for visualizing things like furniture layout. You can use ConceptDraw PRO to produce layouts of real estate properties. ConceptDraw PRO contains the large quantity of pre-designed vector objects that you can use for quick and easy designing such floor plans. You  can easily determine the size of the rooms and distances in you drawing. The ability to create a floor plan is delivered by the Floor Plans solution. This solution extends ConceptDraw PRO with libraries that contains over 500 objects of floor plan elements. There is a set of special objects that displays the sizes, corners, squares and other technical details using the current measurements of units. Read more

How to Resize Objects in ConceptDraw PRO

When creating diagram using ConceptDraw PRO, you can select, move, resize and rotate objects. After selecting an object (or objects) in a document, you can change it position, resize it or move an object to the desired position. The sizes of objects in ConceptDraw PRO can be changed by simple dragging, or you can set a particular size of any object. Using ConceptDraw PRO, you can re-size an object on the page using the absolute measurements instead of a mouse. You can make quick work of designing complex drawing using a combination of different-sized items. Read more

How to Design a Restaurant Floor Plan

Someone might think that creating a plan of cafe or restaurant is quite simple. But in fact it is a real art. You need to make it not only beautiful, but also convenient for visitors. Today, restaurants and cafes are not only the places, where people eat, but a places for business meetings, and recreation. Therefore, a well-designed project of the restaurant (cafe, bar) leads to successful sales and good incomes. The ConceptDraw Cafe and Restaurant Floor Plan solution includes libraries that are tailored for Cafe and Restaurants floor plans and interiors. Read more
"Light-travel distance.
This distance is the time (in years) that it took light to reach the observer from the object multiplied by the speed of light. For instance, the radius of the observable Universe in this distance measure becomes the age of the Universe multiplied by the speed of light (1 light year/year) i.e. 13.8 billion light years. Also see misconceptions about the size of the visible universe." [Distance measures (cosmology). Wikipedia]

How to Create a Floor Plan for the Classroom

Classroom environment is very important for students. Classroom layout has a big influence on the learning process. The size of the classroom and interior areas, the type of furniture the lightning, and the desk arrangement all influence how students learn. ConceptDraw enables you to build the effective classroom arrangement. Using ConceptDraw School and Training Plans solution you can quickly sketch the Floor Plan for your classroom. It provides you a special library that contains the set of vector objects that represent desks, tables, storage and more. You can even change your classroom size and print your layout. Read more

"The cosmic distance ladder (also known as the extragalactic distance scale) is the succession of methods by which astronomers determine the distances to celestial objects. A real direct distance measurement of an astronomical object is possible only for those objects that are "close enough" (within about a thousand parsecs) to Earth. The techniques for determining distances to more distant objects are all based on various measured correlations between methods that work at close distances with methods that work at larger distances. Several methods rely on a standard candle, which is an astronomical object that has a known luminosity.
The ladder analogy arises because no one technique can measure distances at all ranges encountered in astronomy. Instead, one method can be used to measure nearby distances, a second can be used to measure nearby to intermediate distances, and so on. Each rung of the ladder provides information that can be used to determine the distances at the next higher rung." [Cosmic distance ladder. Wikipedia]

The vector stencils library "Thermo" contains 14 symbols of thermoelectric elements: thermal element, thermocouples with and without heating elements, thermoplile.
Use it for drawing electrical layouts, electronic schematics, and circuit diagrams.
"The thermoelectric effect is the direct conversion of temperature differences to electric voltage and vice versa. A thermoelectric device creates voltage when there is a different temperature on each side. Conversely, when a voltage is applied to it, it creates a temperature difference. At the atomic scale, an applied temperature gradient causes charge carriers in the material to diffuse from the hot side to the cold side.
This effect can be used to generate electricity, measure temperature or change the temperature of objects. Because the direction of heating and cooling is determined by the polarity of the applied voltage, thermoelectric devices can be used as temperature controllers.
The term "thermoelectric effect" encompasses three separately identified effects: the Seebeck effect, Peltier effect, and Thomson effect. Textbooks may refer to it as the Peltier–Seebeck effect. ...
Thermocouples and thermopiles are devices that use the Seebeck effect to measure the temperature difference between two objects, one connected to a voltmeter and the other to the probe. The temperature of the voltmeter, and hence that of the material being measured by the probe, can be measured separately using cold junction compensation techniques." [Thermoelectric effect.
