How to Resize Objects

ConceptDraw DIAGRAM allows you to resize objects either by dragging them with the mouse or by specifying exact dimensions. When precision is important, you can manually enter object dimensions and resize shapes using absolute measurements instead of adjusting them visually.

One of the most convenient methods is to use the Size boxes in the Arrange & Size panel. This approach helps you create accurate diagrams that contain objects of different sizes. The basic object resizing methods are the same on both Windows and macOS.

1. Select an object.
2. To resize a simple geometric shape, such as a rectangle, drag one of its selection handles until the shape reaches the desired size. To resize the shape proportionally, drag a corner handle.

3. To resize a shape by entering dimensions manually, use the Arrange & Size side panel. Enter the new dimensions using the units defined for the current document.
   Note: If you need to specify the actual dimensions of a large object, such as furniture in a building plan, be sure to set the drawing scale in the Document Properties window first.

4. To display dimensions in the drawing, open the View menu and select Shape Sizes.
5. The selected object now displays its dimensions directly on the drawing page.
