How to Move and Rotate Text

ConceptDraw DIAGRAM lets you easily reposition and rotate text associated with objects in your drawings. You can move text to improve diagram readability or rotate it to match your design requirements while maintaining a clear visual presentation.

Follow the steps below to learn how to move text relative to an object and how to rotate text independently within a ConceptDraw DIAGRAM document.

Move Text

1. Select the object using the Selection tool.
2. Drag the text control dot to move the text block to a new position.
3. Release the mouse button to apply the new text position relative to the object. If you later move the object, the text will move with it, even if the text is positioned outside the object's boundaries.

Rotate Text

1. Select the text using the Select Text tool.
2. Drag the rotation handle to rotate the text. When the pointer is positioned over a rotation handle, it changes to a circular arrow.
3. The text rotates independently of the object. To rotate both the text and the object together, use the Selection tool.
