How to Reshape an Object Using Vertex Tool on PC

You can create custom objects in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM using shapes from the Basic Shapes library. Most basic shapes can be modified by reshaping individual parts, allowing you to design unique diagram elements.

To create more complex objects or modify existing shapes, use the Vertex Tool. This tool enables you to add and move vertex points to change an object's geometry. Note that the Vertex Tool cannot be applied to objects with rounded corners.

1. Open a new ConceptDraw DIAGRAM document.
2. Open the Basic Shapes library.
3. Add shapes to your drawing using one of the following methods:
   • •  Click a shape and then click anywhere in the document.
   • •  Drag and drop a shape from the library onto the document.
   • •  Double-click a shape icon in the library.
4. Activate the Vertex Tool on the Shape tab. The cursor will change to a crossed circle.
5. Click an object's outline to add a vertex point.
6. Modify the shape by dragging the vertex point to a new position.

Result: Using vertex points, you can modify the geometry of objects in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM and create custom shapes tailored to your diagram requirements.
