How to Set Line Jumps for Smart Connectors in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM
ConceptDraw DIAGRAM provides several connector types for creating relationships between objects, including Direct, Arc, Bezier, Smart, Spline, and Round connectors. Each connector type is designed for a specific diagramming purpose and can be applied to one or multiple selected connectors with a single click. A Direct Connector creates a straight connection between objects. A Smart Connector creates an orthogonal path, while a Spline Connector creates a smooth curved connection. A Round Connector is similar to a Smart Connector but uses rounded bends, and you can adjust the bend radius as needed.
Direct Connectors draw straight lines between connection points. Smart, Arc, Bezier, and Round Connectors are created in a similar way, but they automatically route around objects already placed in the drawing. When two Smart Connectors intersect, you can control the appearance of the crossing point. You can display intersections as square, arched, or angled line jumps and specify either a vertical or horizontal orientation. This feature is disabled by default and must be enabled manually. On macOS: The Smart Connector routing options are available under the Tools menu.
On Windows: Open the Connectors Routing section on the Document tab.
Result: You can control how line jumps appear at Smart Connector intersections and define their vertical or horizontal orientation, improving the clarity and readability of your diagrams. |
