How to Add Layers on PC

ConceptDraw DIAGRAM allows you to organize diagram elements using layers. Layers help you manage complex drawings by separating objects into logical groups, making it easier to edit, display, print, and control individual parts of a document.

The number of layers in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM is unlimited. By default, each document contains three layers. You can hide layer contents, prevent layers from being printed, or lock layers to protect objects from accidental changes. Follow the steps below to add and manage layers in a ConceptDraw DIAGRAM document on Windows.

1. On the View tab, open the Layers panel using the button in the Side Panels section.

2. Click Add in the lower-left corner of the Layers panel to create a new layer.
3. To move an object to another layer, drag and drop it from the document onto the desired layer in the Layers panel.
4. Layers are color-coded, allowing you to easily identify which layer each object belongs to. Use the corresponding checkbox to enable or disable layer color display.
