How to Create Rapid Draw Objects for Faster Diagramming

Rapid Draw technology is an automatic drawing system designed to significantly reduce the time required to create flowcharts and diagrams composed of standard elements. It helps you build complex diagrams faster by automatically extending and connecting objects while preserving the structure of your workflow.

You can extend the standard object libraries with custom Rapid Draw objects. Customize any object from an existing library and assign Rapid Draw functionality to it. These reusable objects can then be added to your libraries and used to speed up the creation of large and complex flowcharts.

1. Run ConceptDraw DIAGRAM and open the Flowchart library.
2. Select an object. Open the Shape menu and enable the Rapid Draw option.

3. Use the Rapid Draw arrows to create a new composite object quickly.

4. Select the newly created object and add it to the library using drag-and-drop.

5. You can also assign Rapid Draw functionality to grouped objects. Each component of a complex grouped object retains its Rapid Draw capabilities. To edit individual components, ungroup the object using the context menu.
