How to Create an IDEF3 Diagram

IDEF3 is part of the IDEF family of modeling languages. An IDEF3 diagram describes an actual process flow within an organization or business. It contains 4 libraries, that can be used when representing the transferral of data, documentation, and tasks during the performance of any business process.

1. Open a new ConceptDraw DIAGRAM document and select the IDEF3 diagrams library.
2. Add boxes and circles that represent elements of a business process such as activities, actions or operations by dragging them from the library into the Diagram Box.

3. Connect IDEF3 elements with arrow connectors composed of one or more arrow segments, that depicts data transmission channels.
