How to Add a Self-Drawn Object to a Library

One of the key features of ConceptDraw DIAGRAM solutions is the collection of libraries that contain themed sets of professionally designed vector objects. These business-oriented libraries help you quickly create diagrams for a wide range of industries and use cases.

You can easily extend the built-in library collection by creating new objects, modifying existing ones, or adding your own custom objects. Custom objects can be stored in standard ConceptDraw DIAGRAM libraries or saved in a separate custom library for future use.

1. Drag and drop your custom object into the desired library.
2. Rename the object by selecting Properties from the object's context menu.

3. To save the library, select Save from the library's context menu.
4. Your custom library is saved in the My ConceptDraw folder located in your Documents folder. You can quickly access this location from the My ConceptDraw panel by clicking the button.

5. To automatically load your customized library whenever you start ConceptDraw DIAGRAM, save the document containing the customized library as a template. Then configure the Document Properties settings to open the custom template when the application starts.

Result: Your custom drawing object is saved in a reusable library that can be accessed whenever you need it. By saving your customized library as part of a template, you can automatically make it available each time you launch ConceptDraw DIAGRAM, helping you create diagrams more efficiently.
