ConceptDraw DIAGRAM allows you to create a wide variety of visual documents, including flowcharts, organizational charts, network diagrams, business process diagrams, floor plans, and infographics. Most diagrams contain text used for labels, descriptions, annotations, titles, and other explanatory information.

This guide explains how to add, edit, and format text in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM for Windows. You will also learn how to use text-related tools such as Text Auto-Expand, Callouts, Title Blocks, Fit to Text, and Text Bounds to keep your diagrams clear and professional.

  1. Select an object.
  2. Double-click the object to activate Text Edit mode.
  3. Click the Text Auto-Expand tool on the Home tab if you want the object's borders to expand automatically to fit the text.
  4. Enter your text. When using Text Auto-Expand mode, press the Enter key while typing to expand the object both vertically and horizontally as needed.

  10. The Title Block tool allows you to create diagram headings quickly. This text block supports a predefined title style with centered alignment and an appropriate font size. Unlike standard text blocks, the text size in a Title Block changes automatically when the text box is resized.

  • Hide any text that extends beyond the object boundaries using the Text Bounds Text Bounds button in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM button.
