How to Edit Text on PC

There are many types of diagrams you can create with ConceptDraw DIAGRAM flowcharts, organizational charts, network diagrams, business process diagrams, floor plans, and infographics. Most diagrams contain a certain amount of text. Text descriptions can be applied to objects or contain explanations to the entire document. Read in this article how to add and edit text in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM on PC.

1. Select an object.
2. Double-click the object to activate the Text Edit mode.
3. Press the Text Auto-Expand tool on the Home tab, if you want automatically expand borders of object to fit text.
4. Type the text. When using Text Auto-Expand mode use the Enter key during typing to expand an object by both length and width.

5. Format the text using the Text Format section on the Home tab.

6. The Callout tool will be useful for adding comments and other kinds of supporting information. It is inserted into a new layer can be hidden for viewing and printing.

7. The Title Block tool allows you to make headings for your diagrams quickly. This text block supports a predefined Title style (font size and central alignment). Unlike the common text blocks, the size of the text in Title block changes along with the resizing of the text box itself.

8. If the size of the text after editing does not match the size of the object you can use the tools of the Text section on the Shape tab:
   • Make the size of object appropriate to the text size using the Fit to Text button.
   • Hide that piece of the text that does not fit into the object using the Text Bounds button.
   
9. Click a blank area on the page to exit the Text Edit mode.
