ConceptDraw DIAGRAM allows you to create a wide variety of visual documents, including flowcharts, organizational charts, network diagrams, business process diagrams, floor plans, and infographics. Most diagrams contain text elements that provide labels, descriptions, annotations, or additional information.
Text can be attached to individual objects or added as explanatory content for the entire document. This guide explains how to add, edit, and format text in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM for macOS.
- Select an object.
- Double-click the object to enter Text Edit Mode.
- Type the desired text.
- Use the Text panel to customize font settings, alignment, and other text formatting options.
- If the edited text no longer fits within the object, use the Fit To Text option to automatically resize the object to match the text dimensions.
- The Callout tool is useful for adding comments, notes, and other supporting information. Callouts are inserted on a separate layer, which can be hidden when viewing or printing the document.
- The Title Block tool lets you quickly create headings for your diagrams. This text block uses a predefined title style with larger font size and centered alignment. Unlike standard text blocks, the text size in a Title Block automatically adjusts when the text box is resized.
- Click a blank area of the page to exit Text Edit Mode.
