OSPF Network. Computer and Network Examples

Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a dynamic routing protocol based on the link-state technology and used the Dijkstra's algorithm for finding the shortest path. It was developed by IETF in 1988.

OSPF is an interior gateway protocol (IGP), it is widely used in large enterprise networks. OSPF routes the IP packets within a single routing domain. It gathers the information about the link state from the routers and makes the network topology map.

OSPF has the following advantages: the high rate of convergence in comparison with distance vector routing protocols, support of the network mask variable length (VLSM), optimal use of bandwidth.

Computer and Networks Area provides solutions that contain the libraries with a great number of predesigned vector stencils, a set of professional looking examples that you can change for your needs. All these allow you create the OSPF diagrams of any complexity in a few minutes.

ConceptDraw DIAGRAM - Organizational chart software →

There are plenty of diagramming tools, the question is to choose the most suitable for your needs. For example, you can choose ConceptDraw DIAGRAM as organizational chart software and get fascinating results in a few minutes. An orgchart is useful for any corporation. This is an example of a hierarchical organization scheme of the company. It has tree-like structure. Each middle manager is subordinated to a few employees, and he is accountable to one of the top managers. Every type of organizational composition of businesses may be presented in the view of an organizational chart that is supported by ConceptDraw Organisational Charts solution. There are number of ways of building a structure of business organization, establishing how it should function.ConceptDraw DIAGRAM - Organizational chart software *

Cisco Network Design →

Enterprise systems engineers almost every day face the necessity of network diagrams. We should also take into account that Cisco network design is not only limited to computer networks, but, furthermore, you can design telephone networks and much more. You can build an hierarchical model of your network to get better performance and reliability. This network diagram represents the utilization of Conceptdraw DIAGRAM for network documentation creation. The diagram shows schematically the structure of a node of a large Internet service provider, which is completed on the basis of Cisco equipment. This diagram was designed using the vector library containing the images of Cisco equipment, supplied with Cisco Network Diagrams solution. In total, the solution has more than ten libraries including more than 500 vector icons of Cisco equipment.Cisco Network Design *

Basic Flowchart Symbols and Meaning →

While creating flowcharts and process flow diagrams, you should use special objects to define different statements, so anyone aware of flowcharts can get your scheme right. There is a short and an extended list of basic flowchart symbols and their meaning. Basic flowchart symbols include terminator objects, rectangles for describing steps of a process, diamonds representing appearing conditions and questions and parallelograms to show incoming data. This diagram gives a general review of the standard symbols that are used when creating flowcharts and process flow diagrams. The practice of using a set of standard flowchart symbols was admitted in order to make flowcharts and other process flow diagrams created by any person properly understandable by other people. The flowchart symbols depict different kinds of actions and phases in a process. The sequence of the actions, and the relationships between them are shown by special lines and arrows. There are a large number of flowchart symbols. Which of them can be used in the particular diagram depends on its type. For instance, some symbols used in data flow diagrams usually are not used in the process flowcharts. Business process system use exactly these flowchart symbols.Basic Flowchart Symbols and Meaning

Cisco Network Templates →

A network diagram is used to depict the topology of a computer network or, talking more broadly, any telecommunications network in general. In order for a computer network diagram to be understandable, clearly identifiable icons must be used for each network appliance. Cisco network templates, also called Network Topology Icons, is a brand of symbols developed and used by Cisco. Since Cisco Systems is the largest networking company in the world, it's list of networking symbols is widely recognized and exhaustive. The diagram of the ISG network topology diagram illustrates the Cisco Intelligent Services Gateway. Since Cicso company offers service providers a possibility to provide control of state and resources in a broadband network, network architects and engineers need some facilities to create ISG topology diagrams. This Cisco ISG network diagram was created in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM using its solution for Cisco network diagrams. The vector library of this solution comprises over 500 icons of Cisco hardware and accessories. They can be used to design LAN, WAN, ISG and other Cisco equipped network diagrams.Cisco Network Templates

Metropolitan area networks (MAN). Computer and Network Examples →

A list of parameters on which networks differ is very long. A large network with a range up to 50 kilometers is called metropolitan area network (MAN), and this type of network can include several local area networks. Metropolitan networks in their turn connect into global area networks. Here you will see a Metropolitan Area Network (MAN). This is an extensive network which occupies a large territory including a few buildings or even the whole city. The space of the MAN is bigger than LAN, but lower than WAN. MAN comprise a lot of communication equipment and delivers the Internet connection to the LANs in the city area. Computer and Networks solution for ConceptDraw DIAGRAM provides a set of libraries with ready-to-use vector objects to design various kinds of computer networks.Metropolitan area networks (MAN).
