OSPF Network. Computer and Network Examples
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a dynamic routing protocol based on the link-state technology and used the Dijkstra's algorithm for finding the shortest path. It was developed by IETF in 1988.
OSPF is an interior gateway protocol (IGP), it is widely used in large enterprise networks. OSPF routes the IP packets within a single routing domain. It gathers the information about the link state from the routers and makes the network topology map.
OSPF has the following advantages: the high rate of convergence in comparison with distance vector routing protocols, support of the network mask variable length (VLSM), optimal use of bandwidth.

When describing any computer network, we imagine a set of devices and nodes, arranged in some way. Talking about network structures, we should distinguish physical and logical network topologies, as physical topology is about devices location and logical topology illustrates data flow. In the same time, they do not have to match, and some devices, such as repeaters, may have a physical star layout, but a bus logical topology.
There are two main types of computer network topologies: Physical topology that show the physical organization of a network - equipment and types of connections. The Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is a progressive distance-vector dynamic routing protocol. It was developed by the Cisco Systems and is available as an open standard from 2013.
EIGRP is used to help automate routing decisions and configuration of the computer network. It allows the routers of the same logical area automatically share route information.
