ConceptDraw is a tricky pitch to newcomers. We're used to a paradigm of design tools that neatly divides them into vector packages, bitmap editors, CAD and 3D modellers. ConceptDraw is probably best described as a plan-creation package - a tool for creating charts and diagrams.
ConceptDraw 7.3 is a solid update of the vector drawing and diagramming software package for folks who need to create high-end flowcharts, engineering drawings, and other intricate illustrations. It adds a Presentation Mode that can let you use the app for presentations. This program really blew me away. It was amazing how simple it was to use and how quickly you could do almost anything...I did not find any problems with this program in its functionality or usability. It is very user friendly and I would recommend it to anyone that is heavy into making floor plans or business diagrams.

I'm really quite fond of the docked editing tools on the right-hand side of the screen, which give easy access to all of the properties of the current shape; they seem to me to be easier to work with than Visio's mix of toolbar buttons, menu items, and dialog boxes. ConceptDraw also offers a good selection of basic drawing shapes on its various templates, as well as enough clip art to get you started. The Professional version that I worked with covers web and Windows design, floor plans, organization charts, various types of software diagrams, forms, mechanical engineering, and other odds and ends.
At its price point, ConceptDraw provides amazing value. Its cross platform existence will provide more justification to end users who need to work often on both the Windows and Mac platforms.

Mind Map what a strange word. It makes me think of something ominous in a science fiction movie. I first heard of mind mapping a few years ago. Since I'm always looking for an edge and I am, admittedly, a productivity junky, I immediately went online to see what all the fuss was about.

Il ne nous a pas ete facile de faire le tour de toutes les fonctionnalites de la gamme ConceptDraw, les differents logiciels fourmillent d'outils d'edition vectorielle d'une extreme precision. On apprecie la compatibilite avec 'Office', notamment entre 'Presenter' et 'Power Point', par ailleurs on retrouve aussi cette compatibilite avec les plus grands logiciels tels que 'AutoCad' mais egalement entre les systemes Mac et Windows.
En bref, ConceptDraw est un monstre de puissance en matiere de vecteurs et nous vous le recommandons fortement si vous ne parvenez pas a realiser vos schemas convenablement !
Le mode graphique est assez interessant. Sur chacune des idies, on va pouvoir placer des symboles (une loupe pour une id'e creuser, un sablier pour indiquer que cette action prend du temps...). C'est la methode Mindmapping et cest plutit ingenieux.
ConceptDraw MINDMAP integre de bonnes idies comme, par exemple, disposer de plusieurs feuilles (comme dans Excel) pour hirarchiser un projet complexe. Il dispose aussi de fonctions puissantes et tres utiles comme la creation automatique de pages HTML ou de fichiers PDF.

I particularly like the brainstorming feature which is invoked by clicking on the lighting bold icon. This feature manages a text based outline with clear icons for adding and rearranging branches. The stopwatch feature allows you to set a time limit for the idea generation process -- a good way to stretch your thinking by making you work for a certain time.
The program offers features for drawing lines (Line, Sector, Arc and Spline), intelligent connectors and the means to group objects into more complex ones.

Installation was simple and clearly explained. The required memory and hard drive space are reasonable. Technical support was not needed to install and run the program. This kind of program is wonderful for those of us who have to present information using PowerPoint, because the graphics are so unusual and effective. Imagination is stimulated by the interesting visuals that can be created fairly easily with this program.

La firme CS Odessa occupe sans conteste une place a part dans le monde de l'edition logicielle. Comme son nom l'indique, cette compagnie vient en effet d'un pays qui n'est pas particulierement connu pour la richesse de son industrie informatique : l'Ukraine.

I used MindManager to develop most of this site but if I'd had ConceptDraw at the time I would probably have used that instead. I use ConceptDraw for presenting information . I also use it for learning and remembering.
All in all, Concept Draw is a rather useful program from CS Odessa. It does - and does well - exactly what its designed to do, which is design and create complete charts, diagrams, floor plans, etc, using a wide array of tools and features.There are many interesting features that make this program useful for the average technology enthusiast.
ConceptDraw PROJECT fully supports ConceptDraw PRO and ConceptDraw MINDMAP. This allows you to create effective project reports, which are well-prepared templates. The reports provide an overview not only for project managers, but also for all the management processes as well as customers, suppliers or other interested parties. Analyzing CD Office through the eyes of a busy project manager; the power of the dashboard function is evident.
ConceptDraw Office package includes an excellent way to review the implementation of the ideas created by hand after the publication held a variety of projects. The integration of the three applications is perfect, and their use in almost no time to learn. Since the whole package works on Windows and OS X as well, the problem of interoperability between platforms is solved.

ConceptDraw Office is a suite of three related applications: ConceptDraw MindMap; ConceptDraw Project; and ConceptDraw Pro, from Ukrainian developer CS Odessa. The unifying theme for these three applications is the visual development, management and presentation of ideas. They are cross-platform Windows and Mac programs that have actually been around for a little while, but the new versions in the Office release represent a major new push.
Project managers rely on many tools to help them manage the task of executing this vision. The main products include software packages such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and email. Sometimes you will find project managers will use additional mind mapping tools, such as MindMapper, or network diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio. CSOdessa will release their project management tool ConceptDraw Office in a couple of weeks (latest word is mid June). No, this is not just another piece of PM software. And that is a good thing.
