CS Odessa Announces ConceptDraw MindWave Version 2 a No Charge Mind Mapping Gadget for Google Wave

June 2, 2010 — CS Odessa released an updated version of its popular mind mapping tool for Google Wave. This is a no charge add-in to Google Wave that can be injected in to a Google Wave to rapidly collaborate with 2, 20, 200 or 2000 people. ConceptDraw MindWave for Google Wave tool allows teams to collaborate on a mind map in an interactive flowing manner building a map structure that represents the planned work. The map add-in takes full advantage of Google Wave playback. The resulting mind map can then be downloaded to one’s desktop and further developed using ConceptDraw MINDMAP for Macintosh or Windows.

Some of the improvements to ConceptDraw MindWave version 2 are:

  • “Getting started” instructional mind map appears on first launch;
  • Pan to either side of map and the horizontal scroll bar appears;
  • Automatic conversion of URL to hyperlinks in topic text;
  • Added help and privacy resources to gadget;
  • New shortcuts and many usability improvements;

Olin Reams, General Manager for the Americas at CS Odessa, observes, “We demonstrated ConceptDraw MindWave, in the Sandbox Area, at the recent Google I/O developers show and ConcetDraw MindWave was a great success. Many of attendees saw great potential in being able to build and store a mind map document whose access can be embedded anywhere one can embed HTML, such as a Web page or an enterprise portal. Individuals are then free to discover and interact with the wave mind map. Users can join the conversation, add or edit information, etc. The end result is a great collaborative productivity tool.”
