Step 1. To get started brainstorming, just start a new wave using the “New Wave” button in the middle pane of the Google Wave labs page. In the right-hand panel, type the theme to be brainstormed.

 

Step 2. Click on the green light bulb icon. A mind map is inserted into the frame.

 

Step 3. Invite your colleagues to join the brainstorming session by using the plus sign at the top of the wave.

 

Step 4. Each participant is able to contribute in a real-time to the brainstorming session, by typing their ideas. Once they press “Enter” the text is displayed on the map. The names of contributors appear in the area of the map where they are adding content.

 

Step 5. Press the Download button to download the ConceptDraw MindWave map to your computer. One can then use the ConceptDraw MINDMAP desktop application to open the map generated in wave.

 

Result. Now you can further develop the ideas and thoughts from the newly developed brainstorming mind map into the new project plan.
