Create DocNavigator Mind Map

Step 1.From ConceptDraw MINDMAP open the DocNavigator template.

Step 2. Enter the name for your group of documents, such as Project A.

 

Tip: Show/hide Page Navigator by using F6.

Step 3. From the Topic menu, select Send to new page to create a separate mind map of Project A documentation.

 

Tip: Use the Shift key on your keyboard when dragging or dropping ConceptDraw files such as, .cdmz or .cdpz.

Step 4. From Explorer (Windows) or from Finder (Mac OS), drag & drop selected files to the main topics within your mind map work space to collect incoming documents from your computer or from local network.

 

Tip: Use Ctrl+Shift+E (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+E (Mac OS) to create and edit hyperlinks.

Step 5. Add topics with external documents. Insert hyperlinks.

 

Step 6. Press F11 (Windows) or F5 (Mac OS) to add note to explain where one can find the hard copy of document.

 

Step 7.Repeat steps to expand or create new mind maps for other groups of documents.

 

Result: A document navigation mind map for quick searches of active documents on single or multiple projects.
