Types of Welding in Flowchart
This sample was created in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM diagramming and vector drawing software using the Flowcharts solution from the Diagrams area of ConceptDraw Solution Park. This sample shows the Flowchart that displays the solid-state welding processes, the types of welding.
The vector stencils library "Welding" contains 38 welding joint symbols to identify fillets, contours, resistance seams, grooves, surfacing, and backing.
Use it to indicate welding operations on working drawings.
"Welding is a fabrication or sculptural process that joins materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by causing coalescence. This is often done by melting the workpieces and adding a filler material to form a pool of molten material (the weld pool) that cools to become a strong joint, with pressure sometimes used in conjunction with heat, or by itself, to produce the weld. This is in contrast with soldering and brazing, which involve melting a lower-melting-point material between the workpieces to form a bond between them, without melting the workpieces.
Many different energy sources can be used for welding, including a gas flame, an electric arc, a laser, an electron beam, friction, and ultrasound.
Welds can be geometrically prepared in many different ways. The five basic types of weld joints are the butt joint, lap joint, corner joint, edge joint, and T-joint (a variant of this last is the cruciform joint). Other variations exist as well - for example, double-V preparation joints are characterized by the two pieces of material each tapering to a single center point at one-half their height. Single-U and double-U preparation joints are also fairly common - instead of having straight edges like the single-V and double-V preparation joints, they are curved, forming the shape of a U. Lap joints are also commonly more than two pieces thick - depending on the process used and the thickness of the material, many pieces can be welded together in a lap joint geometry." [Welding. The shapes example "Design elements - Welding" was created using the ConceptDraw PRO diagramming and vector drawing software extended with the Mechanical Engineering solution from the Engineering area of ConceptDraw Solution Park.

Mechanical Drawing Symbols
Mechanical Engineering solution — 8 libraries are available with 602 commonly used mechanical drawing symbols in Mechanical Engineering Solution, including libraries called Bearings with 59 elements of roller and ball bearings, shafts, gears, hooks, springs, spindles and keys; Dimensioning and Tolerancing with 45 elements; Fluid Power Equipment containing 113 elements of motors, pumps, air compressors, meters, cylinders, actuators and gauges; Fluid Power Valves containing 93 elements of pneumatic and hydraulic valves (directional control valves, flow control valves, pressure control valves) and electrohydraulic and electropneumatic valves; as well as many other sophisticated symbols and templates for your use.Value Stream Mapping Symbols
VSM symbols are the best for a production process designing. The entire Value Stream Mapping method uses a graphical representation of the manufacturing process, factors' pros and cons, that all stakeholders can easily understand. Value Stream Mapping is a graphical technique that provides possibilities to improve analysis of a manufacturing process, at the stage of the transferring information or materials that required to deliver a product or service to the customer.IDEF0 Flowchart Symbols
The IDEF0 method is built on the functional modeling language Structured Analysis and Design Technique (SADT) and focuses on activity modeling. The ability to create the IDEF0 flowcharts and business diagrams rapidly and without efforts is made possible thanks to wide range of intuitive tools of ConceptDraw DIAGRAM software and IDFE0 notation supplied by IDEF0 Diagrams solution from the Software Development area. This solution is rich for the ready-to-use specific IDEF0 flowchart symbols grouped in IDEF0 Diagram library.Mechanical Engineering
