Metro Map

This solution extends ConceptDraw DIAGRAM software with the ability to create metro maps, route maps, bus, transit maps and other transport schemes, or even tube-style infographics.

Metro Map is a one-click tool to add stations to the map. It lets you control the direction in which you create new stations, change lengths, and add text labels and icons. It contains Lines, Stations, and Landmarks objects.

The solution uses two ConceptDraw techniques: Replicating Objects and Switching Objects. The result is a vector graphic document.

All source documents are vector graphic documents which are always available for modifying, reviewing and/or converting to many different formats, such as MS PowerPoint, PDF file, MS Visio, and many other graphic ones from the ConceptDraw Solution Park or ConceptDraw STORE. The Metro Map solution is available to all ConceptDraw DIAGRAM users to get installed and used while working in the ConceptDraw DIAGRAM diagramming and drawing software.

Example 1: London Tube

This map was created in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM using the Transport Map library from the Metro Map solution. An experienced user spent 6 hours creating this sample.

Explore the oldest underground in the world. Opened in 1863, the London Tube today opens a new station inside ConceptDraw.

Example 2: Los Angeles Metro Rail and Liner

This map was created in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM using the Transport Map library from the Metro Map solution. An experienced user spent 3 hours creating this sample.

Metro Rail is a rapid transit rail system consisting of six separate lines serving 80 stations.

What I Need to Get Started

All you need to get started is ConceptDraw DIAGRAM and the “Metro Map” solution, found in the Universal Diagramming area of ConceptDraw Solution Park. Make sure both are installed on your computer.

How to install

Download and install ConceptDraw STORE and ConceptDraw DIAGRAM. Next, install the “Metro Map” solution using STORE.
