Area Charts

An Area Chart (Area Graph) displays graphically quantitative data. It is based on the Line chart and, similar to it represents data as a series of points connected by straight lines, and depicts the differences in values with a filled in area. The area between axis and line is commonly visually emphasized with color, texture, or hatching.

Area Charts are used to display the cumulative totals over time using numbers or percentages; or to show trends over time among related attributes. The Area Chart is effective when comparing two or more quantities. Each series of data is typically represented with a different color, the use of color transparency in an object’s transparency shows overlapped areas and smaller areas hidden behind larger areas.

The Area Charts Solution for ConceptDraw PRO is a comprehensive set of drawing tools, examples, samples, templates, and predesigned vector objects contained in a library that makes it easy to design pictorial Area Charts.

There is 1 library containing 5 vector objects in the Area Charts solution.
