"Department of Science and Technology (DOST) agencies, the Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) and the Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) are encouraging government institutions to adopt the use of cloud applications over traditional IT systems, as it unveiled a new online service called GovCloud or Government Cloud, which will enable government agencies to use secure online applications for their various computing requirements.
GovCloud was unveiled by Integrated Government Philippines (iGovPhil) Project at the start of a four-day celebration for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Month 2013." [i.gov.ph/ govt-pushes-for-cloud-use-launches-govcloud/ ]
The cybersecurity diagram example "Government Cloud" was created using the ConceprDraw PRO software extended with the Network Security Diagrams solution from the Computer and Neworks area of ConceptDraw Solution Park.

"Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES).
EOS-Terra: Understanding Earth's Clouds and Climate.
The Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) instrument is one of several that will be flown aboard the Earth Observing System's Terra spacecraft, scheduled for launch in late1999. The data from the CERES instrument will be used to study the energy exchanged between the Sun; the Earth's atmosphere, surface and clouds; and outer space.
The CERES EOS-Terra instrument will be the second CERES instrument in Earth orbit. The first CERES instrument is currently orbiting the Earth aboard the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission observatory, which was launched in November 1997. Early results of the TRMM mission show that the first CERES has provided better measurement capabilities than any previous satellite instrument of its kind.
What CERES Will Measure.
CERES will measure the energy at the top of the atmosphere, as well as estimate energy levels in the atmosphere and at the Earth's surface. Using information from very high resolution cloud imaging instruments on the same spacecraft, CERES also will determine cloud properties, including cloud amount, altitude, thickness, and the size of the cloud particles. All of these measurements are critical for advancing our understanding of the Earth's total climate system and further improving climate prediction models.
The CERES instrument is based on NASA Langley's highly successful Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE) which used three satellites to provide global energy budget measurements from 1984 to 1990." [nasa.gov/ centers/ langley/ news/ factsheets/ CERES.html]
The DFD example "CERES data flow diagram" was created using the ConceptDraw PRO diagramming and vector drawing software extended with the Data Flow Diagrams solution from the Software Development area of ConceptDraw Solution Park.

Cisco Network Topology. Cisco icons, shapes, stencils and symbols

The Cisco Network Diagrams solution uses Cisco network symbols and Cisco icons to visualize computer networks. Cisco Network Topology is the arrangement of the Cisco symbols that display scheme of computer network.
Any Cisco equipment on the network are named like node. Network diagram topology commonly designed within connected nodes. Cisco icons are worldwide acknowledged and mainly established as standard icons for network diagrams. You may use them loosely, but you may not rework them.
The Cisco Network Diagram shows how signals act on the networked devices, or how data routes on the network from one device to the other. There are number of physical network typologies that engineers use while constructing computer networks.

Create the computer network topology diagrams using the ConceptDraw PRO diagramming and vector drawing software with the design elements library "Cisco WAN".
"A wide area network (WAN) is a network that covers a broad area (i.e., any telecommunications network that links across metropolitan, regional, or national boundaries) using private or public network transports. Business and government entities utilize WANs to relay data among employees, clients, buyers, and suppliers from various geographical locations. In essence, this mode of telecommunication allows a business to effectively carry out its daily function regardless of location. The Internet can be considered a WAN as well, and is used by businesses, governments, organizations, and individuals for almost any purpose imaginable.
Related terms for other types of networks are personal area networks (PANs), local area networks (LANs), campus area networks (CANs), or metropolitan area networks (MANs) which are usually limited to a room, building, campus or specific metropolitan area (e.g., a city) respectively." The vector stencils library "Cisco network topology" contains 89 symbols of Cisco network devices and design elements for drawing computer network topology diagrams.
"There are two basic categories of network topologies:
(1) Physical topologies,
(2) Logical topologies.
The shape of the cabling layout used to link devices is called the physical topology of the network. This refers to the layout of cabling, the locations of nodes, and the interconnections between the nodes and the cabling. The physical topology of a network is determined by the capabilities of the network access devices and media, the level of control or fault tolerance desired, and the cost associated with cabling or telecommunications circuits.
The logical topology in contrast, is the way that the signals act on the network media, or the way that the data passes through the network from one device to the next without regard to the physical interconnection of the devices." [Network topology. Wikipedia]

... it may be best to view WANs as computer networking technologies used to transmit data over long distances, and between different LANs, MANs and other localised computer networking architectures. ...
WANs are often built using leased lines. At each end of the leased line, a router connects the LAN on one side with a second router within the LAN on the other. Leased lines can be very expensive. Instead of using leased lines, WANs can also be built using less costly circuit switching or packet switching methods. Network protocols including TCP/ IP deliver transport and addressing functions. Protocols including Packet over SONET/ SDH, MPLS, ATM and Frame relay are often used by service providers to deliver the links that are used in WANs." [Wide area network. Wikipedia]

Cisco Network Objects in ConceptDraw DIAGRAM

ConceptDraw DIAGRAM is the only application on the Macintosh platform, supplied with a comprehensive Cisco icon set. For graphic solutions that support Windows, only Microsoft Visio has a library of Cisco shapes. ConceptDraw DIAGRAM is a valuable option to many network professionals that use Macintosh computers or work in a combined Mac and PC environment.
