UML Diagram

The accepted open standard that is used in software engineering and system design, when modeling object-oriented systems and business processes is known as Unified Modeling Language (UML). UML was created for definition, visualization, design and documentation software systems. It isn't a programming language, but on the base of UML model can be generated code. UML uses generic set of graphic notations for creation an abstract model of the system called UML-model. The UML notation lets visually represent requirements, subsystems, structural and behavioral patterns, logical and physical elements, etc. UML defines 13 types of diagrams: Class (Package), Use Case, Sequence, Object, Collaboration, Component, Timing, Interaction Overview, State Machine, Composite Structure, Activity, and Deployment. All these types of UML Diagrams can be fast and easy created with powerful ConceptDraw PRO software extended with special Rapid UML solution from Software Development area of ConceptDraw Solution Park. "A deployment diagram in the Unified Modeling Language models the physical deployment of artifacts on nodes.[1] To describe a web site, for example, a deployment diagram would show what hardware components ("nodes") exist (e.g., a web server, an application server, and a database server), what software components ("artifacts") run on each node (e.g., web application, database), and how the different pieces are connected (e.g. JDBC, REST, RMI).

The nodes appear as boxes, and the artifacts allocated to each node appear as rectangles within the boxes. Nodes may have subnodes, which appear as nested boxes. A single node in a deployment diagram may conceptually represent multiple physical nodes, such as a cluster of database servers." [Deployment diagram. Wikipedia]

There are two types of Nodes:
1. Device Node.
2. Execution Environment Node.
Device nodes are physical computing resources with processing memory and services to execute software, such as typical computers or mobile phones. An execution environment node (EEN) is a software computing resource that runs within an outer node and which itself provides a service to host and execute other executable software elements." Tree Network Topology Diagram

A Tree network topology (Hierarchical topology) is a hybrid network topology that contains the combination of two or more star networks connected via bus networks. Each star network is a LAN (local area network) with central computer or server and workstation nodes connected to it. The central computers of star networks are connected to a main cable that is called a bus. Each node of the Tree network can have an arbitrary number of child nodes, you can easy add/remove the separate workstations and even the whole star networks, the failure of one workstation will not affect the work of others. This topology is ideal solution when workstations are located in groups within a small physical region, rarely is used in WAN configurations. Computer and Networks solution from Computer and Networks area of ConceptDraw Solution Park contains templates, samples and numerous libraries of predesigned vector stencils of computer network devices and equipment, which can be effectively used for designing various network topologies diagrams, including Tree Network Topology. Basic Flowchart Symbols and Meaning

Flowcharts are the best for visually representation the business processes and the flow of a custom-order process through various departments within an organization. ConceptDraw PRO diagramming and vector drawing software extended with Flowcharts solution offers the full set of predesigned basic flowchart symbols which are gathered at two libraries: Flowchart and Flowcharts Rapid Draw. Among them are: process, terminator, decision, data, document, display, manual loop, and many other specific symbols. The meaning for each symbol offered by ConceptDraw gives the presentation about their proposed use in professional Flowcharts for business and technical processes, software algorithms, well-developed structures of web sites, Workflow diagrams, Process flow diagram and correlation in developing on-line instructional projects or business process system. Use of ready flow chart symbols in diagrams is incredibly useful - you need simply drag desired from the libraries to your document and arrange them in required order. There are a few serious alternatives to Visio for Mac, one of them is ConceptDraw PRO. It is one of the main contender with the most similar features and capabilities. Read more

Organizational Structure

The organizational structure reflects the composition and hierarchy of company's divisions, determines the distribution of authorities and responsibilities within the organization, and facilitates the understanding by workers their responsibilities. It also defines the group of people making key decisions at the company. Visualization of organizational structure of any company, organization or institution is not an easy task, because sometimes the company may include several departments, each with more than thousand persons. For such large organizations often are created the Organizational charts for every department separately. There are many ways of organization's structuring, which determine its work. Often happens that organizational structure adapts to production process. ConceptDraw PRO extended with unique Organizational Charts solution from Management area of ConceptDraw Solution Park is a powerful organizational structure software, which ideally suits for developing Organizational Charts of any type and any complexity.
