The fall season is here, and we are hard at work on many new developments here at CS Odessa. As many of you know all of our products support both Macintosh and the PC. Many of you have heard by now that Apple has announced the release of Mac OS 10.5; code named Leopard. When the Leopard ship date is announced by Apple we here at CS Odessa will have some great news about the support of this innovative operating system. We will send out to you Until that announcement is made by Apple we have many exciting pieces of current news we would like to share with you on each of our products that is detailed in the news below.

ConceptDraw 7 Update

Release 7.4 of ConceptDraw 7 is scheduled for shipping on October 16, 2007. This update to ConceptDraw 7 includes a new Drawing Navigator feature, which makes navigation on a large diagram quick and handy for users. Simply click on the space between the rulers, and a panel pops up that displays a document thumbnail. Inside this image one can quickly indentify a new position in the document and then effortlessly reposition the view. This makes navigation much easier for users when working on large documents that are zoomed in on a small work area. This feature is supported in the Macintosh version.

On the PC version of ConceptDraw a new icon has been added to the Open File Window which gives new and experienced users quick access to ConceptDraw drawing examples for quick and easy start-up to new drawing projects. The updated version of ConceptDraw also improves and makes easier the set-up and operation of printing settings and the opening of Microsoft Visio files that are in XML format.

ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5 Update

Release 5.2 of ConceptDraw MINDMAP is scheduled for general availability to the end of October. ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5.2 includes the following additions:

• iCal export functionality, making MINDMAP even a better tool for personal and business planning (Macintosh version).

• Topic auto-placement, making it easy to create and organize a map (Macintosh & PC)

• New ClipArt view interface (Macintosh & PC)

• New Page Navigator interface (Macintosh & PC)

ConceptDraw Project 4.1 Update.

Towards the end of October we are also planning a new release of our Project 4 product also, version 4.1.

This newest version of ConceptDraw Project focuses on the need that project managers often have for accurate and timely communication with stakeholders and team members. A task that often takes up many hours of a Project Manager's time is now a task that takes only minutes. New in version 4.1 of Project is:

• The expanded ability to export critical project information to MS PowerPoint for project review sessions and updates (select date and/or tasks and export to PowerPoint)

• Export to PDF format

• Easy project team communications via e-mail (easily attach file, or in resource view select a resource's address for easier communications)

It is well known that all levels of education require forward thinking and a well planned approach. Visual thinking at every level of education has been successfully supported by the use of mind mapping techniques for nearly 30 years.

Lesson planning is a critical part of a school's curriculum. ConceptDraw MINDMAP makes this planning easier and more efficient. Many teachers and students have found this visual approach of brainstorming and organizing to being beneficial to the learning process.

In celebration of the International Education Day we have prepared the following map, which highlights many of the key points in creating a quality lesson plan by the using as an example the planning of the coming holiday, Halloween.
