Changes from version 1.5.2 to version 1.5.5
GENERAL:
- A new library with MacOS X interface elements and a template for this library added.
- More cursor objects added to the Win95 and MacOS interface libraries.
- New objects in the BasicNetworkAdd.cdl library - various computer makes (iMac, Mac G4 Cube, Sun, SGI etc.) and other useful items.
New features and enhancements:
Printing: The printer settings are now saved together with the documents, so you don't need to set up the printer each time before printing. The Printing tab in the Document Properties dialog lets you configure the following properties:
- How printed pages are laid out when the document is larger than one printed page: from top to bottom, or from left to right.
- How the document is arranged on the page (when it's smaller than one printed page): in the left top corner, in the centre, in the right bottom corner.
- Printed page orientation: portrait, landscape.
New button for the Text Auto Expand mode added to the Text toolbar. When this mode is on, the object gets extended horizontally and/or vertically if the text you type doesn't fit. For 1-D objects (connectors), this mode affects the object's text box, not the object itself. The program remembers whether this mode is on or off during the whole work session. It's reset when you quit the application.
The Shift key now constrains manipulations with vertices to strictly horizontal, vertical or diagonal. In the Windows version, there's also a difference between the right and the left Shift key (for internal vertices).
Save Copy As added to the File menu. This allows for saving documents opened directly from an e-mail attachment, or Internet browser.
Alignment, Distribute and MakeSame tools now can be applied to 1D objects as well.
When exporting to HTML, the text in the Description field (Information dialog) will be transformed into an HTML tip. This tip will show up in your browser when you pause the mouse over the object.
Pressing Esc on operations with objects (creating, resizing, dragging an object) cancels the operation.
Following the requests of our users, we inverted the Centre Vertically / Centre Horizontally commands.
Print Preview now shows the document starting from the current page rather than the first one.
Ungroup for metafile pictures revised - the picture gets ungrouped to its components immediately.
Metafiles containing circles are now ungrouped correctly.
MACINTOSH PLATFORM:
New features:
- The PrintPreview button added to the toolbar.
- Page tabs (at the bottom of the screen) were made less size, and can show balloons.
- As our users suggested, now Option+drag drags a copy of the object instead of Cmd+drag before. Accordingly, Cmd alternates the Snap mode.
Bug fixes:
- For dual-monitor systems, the option to move the toolbars to the other screen added.
- Objects are dragged out of the libraries correctly when the Smart (Direct) Connection mode is on.
- Export to HTML: Export to HTML now works correctly for the documents which contain objects with invisible lines and without text.
- Export to PICT: Fixed the problems occuring when copying objects from Adobe Illustrator to ConceptDraw.
- Export to EPS: the incorrect page size setting problem fixed.
- Pictures with thick lines pasted from ConceptDraw into MS Word now print correctly.
WINDOWS PLATFORM:
New features:
- The Tile command (Window/Tile) now arranges the open windows vertically rather than horizontally.
