Changes from version 1.3.2 to version 1.4

GENERAL:

    New features:
  • Stamp tool.
This tool allows to use any library object for drawing as if it were a ConceptDraw drawing tool. You choose a library object with this tool and simply place it on the drawing page with a single mouse click, as you do with Ellipse, Rectangle or other ConceptDraw built-in tools. By dragging the mouse you start resizing the object. So you can use 1D objects as connectors straight away. Holding down the Alt key swaps the endpoints. If there is no selected object in the library, the Stamp Tool copies the object, selected in the document.

  • Now you can view and work with connection points inside a group. By enabling View/Connection Points In Groups you can use connection points of all objects in a group. This eliminates the need of redirecting connection points of an object when it becomes part of a group. Besides, connection points of an object become visible and operable anyway when you select the object in the group.
  • 1D now have default connection points, which allows to use them in charts like regular objects.
  • 1D objects received a new item in the context menu: "Reverse Link". This command interchanges the begin and end point of the object.
  • Export to Encapsulated PostScript format (EPS) added. This simplifies data exchange with other vector applications and makes it easier to generate PDF documents.
  • Working with attached connectors reconsidered. Now, when you reposition an objects and a connector at once, the program tries to maintain the exisitng connection, unless you move one of the connector's endpoints, or the connector itself, without the objects. This way occasional breaking of a chart is less likely.
  • Various improvements in the Edit Text Tool
    • Now, when you choose this tool, the Text toolbar appears, but the text editing mode doesn't turn on. So, you can select or redefine object using Shift and Ctrl, and then change their text properties with the help of the Text toolbar (for instance, increase font size for all selected objects). You couldn't do this for multiple objects before. To switch to the text editing mode, you can still click the object with the mouse or press F2.
  • You can assign primary selection to an object by simply clicking it with the mouse. (Primary selection is vital for some operations where one objects serves as a pattern for other objects - Connect Figures, Align Figures, Make Same, etc.)

  • Scroll beyond the document bounds using either the scroll bars or the Scroll Hand tool.
  • By using Shift together with the arrows you can move the object faster.
  • Additional zoom level: 125% is added to the drop-down box on the toolbar.
  • Now, you're asked to name the new library when you're trying to close it - same as with a new document, and not on creating it, as it was before.
  • You can create and store empty libraries (without objects).
  • Objects can be moved within a library or between libraries using the mouse (to move an object into another library, drag the object over the target library title bar and pause until the library opens). Also, autoscrolling is available inside the library window.
  • With tools such as Square and Ellipse chosen, you can switch to the Rotate mode by clicking an object's Alignment Box.
  • With tools like Line, Sector, Arc, Spline, Connector, Direct Connector enabled , it's now possible to switch between Resize and Rotate modes by clicking the object's Alignment Box.
  • In the ZoomBox mode you can decrease zooming using the Alt key.
  • Now it's possible to call actions set in the context User-defined menu of an object (Actions Section in the table) by double-clicking the object. Use the Perform User's Context Menu Command option in the Double Click dialog to set double-click action.
  • New libraries: Mac User Interface and Project Timelines
  • Orgchart.cdl library corrected.

    Bug fixes:
  • Selecting with SelectBox keeps the object with primary selection (that displaying green handles).
  • Hyperlinks now function regardless of whether the objects is on a locked or unlocked layer.
