Task Information Dialog
In this dialog, the information on the project task is specified.
The dialog can be run from the menu Task
/ Task Information or from the toolbar Task
with the help of the icon  .
The dialog consists of the 4 tabs:
- General - the general information on the task is specified:
duration, cost, end and start dates etc.
- Resources - the resources involved in the task completion
are specified
- Predecessors - links between tasks are assigned
- Notes - notes on the task are entered
Buttons common for all the tabs:
- Cancel - closes the dialog without saving the changes
- OK - closes the dialog having applied the changes
Tab General
On this tab, the general information on the task is given:
In the section Info the general information on the task is
specified:
- Name - the task name
- Duration - the task duration
- Percent Complete - the percentage of completion
- Milestone - defines whether the task is a milestone
In the section Costs the task cost is specified:
- Baseline - the baseline (is entered by the user)
- Total - the total (is calculated by the program on the
cost of the resources used and is displayed in the field)
In the section Dates start and end dates are specified:
- Start - the task start date
- Finish - the task end date
- Deadline - the deadline for completion
Tab Resources
On this tab, resources are assigned:
Information on the resources is given in the 4 columns:
- Specifies whether a resource is involved in the given task
- Name - the resource name (contains the names
of all the resources in the workspace)
- Type - the resource type (human or material)
- Units - the degree of involvment of a resource
in the given task
Tab Predecessors
On this tab, links between tasks are assigned:
Information on the links is given in the 3 columns:
- Task from - the task on which the given task depends
- Type - the type of link among tasks
- Lag - the time interval in days between the independent
task and the dependent one
- Delete - deletes the selected link
- New - creates a new link
Tab Notes
On this tab the additional information on the task is entered:
