Customize Dialog

In this dialog, settings for the interface are done: contents of the menu and icons, their size, effects on opening the menu etc.

The dialog is opened from the menu View / Toolbars / Customize.

The dialog contains the following tabs:

  • Commands - for adding commands to the menu or to the toolbar
  • Toolbars - for tollbar settings
  • Menu - for setting of the menu view
  • Options - for setting of the toolbar views

Close button is common for all tabs and is for closing the dialog.

 

Tab Commands

From this tab you can add new commands to or remove the existing ones from the menu or the toolbar:

  • Categories - the menu name
  • Commands - commands in the selected menu
  • Description - description of the selected command in the menu

To add a command, drag it by the mouse from the field Commands and add to the needed menu or to the toolbar. On adding a command hold the cursor on the menu, and when it is opened, move the cursor to the place you would like the command to be added and release the mouse-button. If you release the mouse on the menu bar your command will be added as a new menu.

To remove a command, just drag it from the menu or the toolbar to any place on the screen (at this Customize dialog must be open).

Tab Toolbars

Toolbars can be set on this tab:

  • Toolbars - you can specify which toolbars should be displayed in the program's interface
  • Reset - return to the default type of the selected bar
  • Reset All - return to the default type of all bars
  • Show Text Labels - show on the toolbar labels to instruments (they are usually shown as pop-up tips, when you hold the cursor on the instrument)

Tab Menu

The menu view can be set on this tab:

In the field Applications Frame Menus the menu view is set:

  • Show Menus for - shows the menu of the document or of the program (see views application without a document or open document)
  • Reset - returns to the default menu type
  • Menu Animations - effects on opening the menu (Unfold, Slide, Fade)
  • Menu Shadows - shows the shadow effect in the menu

Tab Options

On this tab toolbar views can be set:

  • Show Screen Tips on Toolbars - shows pop-up tips to instrument icons
  • Show Shortcut Keys in Screen Tips - shows shortcut keys together with pop-up tips
  • Large Icons - enlarges sizes of icons
  • Look 2000 - shows toolbars in accordance with Windows 2000.
