Context menu of Gantt chart task list

This menu can be started from the window of Gantt chart task list:

• by clicking the right mouse button
• by clicking the mouse button and Control

In this menu all commands for work with tasks are collected:

Insert New Task - Inserts a task before the selected one. If no task is selected, inserts a task atfer the last one in the project

Add New Subtask - Inserts a subtask for the selected task

Append Task - Appends a task to the end of task list

Delete Task(s) - Removes selected task(s)

Move Up - Moves the selected task one step up

Move Down - Moves the selected task one step down

Indent - Moves the selected task one level deeper

Outdent - Moves the selected task one level closer to the root

Show Subtasks - Unfolds the subtasks of the selected task

Hide Subtasks - Folds up subtasks of the selected task

Show All Subtasks - Shows all subtasks in the project

Hide All Subtasks - Hides all subtasks in the project (shows only project phases and tasks of the same level)

Go To Selected Tasks - Scrolls horizontally graphic part of Gantt Chart so that the time bar of the selected task is seen on the screen

Milestone - Converts the selected task into a milesone if it has not been one before. Otherwise milestone status will be removed. If the selected task is a milestone, this command is marked in the menu

Deadline - Specifies a deadline for the selected task if it has not had it before. Otherwise the deadline will be removed from the task. The deadline will coincide with the task Finish Date. To specify another time for the deadline call Task Information dialog. If the selected task has a deadline, this command is marked in the menu

Task Information… - Calls Task Information dialog for the selected task.

Assign Resource(s) To Task… - Allows to assign resources for the selected task. Task Information dialog with opened Resources tab will appear for it

Predecessors… - Calls Task Information dialog for the selected task on the tab Predecessors. You can create various types of intertask dependencies for the task here

Task Notes… - Calls Task Information dialog for the selected task on the tab Notes. Note for the task can be added here

Link Tasks - Assign link 'finish to start' to the selected tasks

Unlink Tasks - remove links from the selected tasks

Send EMail To Assigned Resources - send a letter by e-mail to the human resources involved in the given task

Many tasks from this menu are available from the menu Tasks and on the tollbar Tasks.
