December, 2001 Germany c't Review
http://www.ct.heise.de/ct/
In December 2001 issue ConceptDraw Professional
is reviewed by Andrea Trinkwalder.
"Fortgeschrittenen Anwendern bietet ConceptDraw umfangreiche
anderen Variablenobjekten definieren."

http://www.macgeneration.com/
ConceptDraw reviewed by Didier Ambuhl.

November, 2001 UK MacWorld, UK Review
http://www.macworld.co.uk/
ConceptDraw reviewed by Michael Burns.
"a powerful utility, with an intuitive - rather than confusing - interface,
and a pile of features to make creating diagrams a lot quicker and easier."
"If you're looking for a technical-drawing tool, this package has it all...
If your requirements are general purpose, this is a reasonable investment.
It's fairly cheap, runs on Mac OS X back to 8.6, and is extremely
customizable. If you're in education, it's definitely worth a look."

October 26, 2001 USA Applelinks Review
http://www.applelinks.com/
ConceptDraw Professional reviewed by Charles W. Moore.
"Nearly every business or profession involves making graphic documents...
ConceptDraw is the most comprehensive diagramming and drawing software, that
works under Mac OS, OS X and Windows."
"...it is testimony to the solid design of ConceptDraw Professional that I
found it quite intuitive to use, in fact more so than any other vector-based
graphics program I've tried. It actually makes me want to find a practical
reason to create some drawings."
"I like this program. It's a lot of fun, and as I noted earlier, I look
forward to using it for some real production drawing. I'm giving
ConceptDraw Pro 1.7 four smileys."

September, 2001 USA CADinfo.NET Review
http://www.cadinfo.net
ConceptDraw reviewed by Geoff Harrod.
"Unlike Visio and its other rivals, ConceptDraw is offered in a version for
the Macintosh as well as for Windows.
I was very favourably impressed with ConceptDraw. ...the best part is that
you can determine if it absolutely serves your needs without committing any
money, because you download the time-limited evaluation version first."

August, 2001 USA MacNut Review
ConceptDraw reviewed by Robert L. Pritchett.
"There is an awful lot that can happen within one year. ConceptDraw is no
exception to the rule that things change. This version of ConceptDraw shows
incredible improvement and those fantastic engineering types at Computer
Systems Odessa Corporation (CSOC) know how to do things right."
"They have done so many things correctly that it is hard to find fault with
their product or the way they do things online. I wish them all the success
in the world. Why? Because I still feel that this product is a Visio-killer
for the Macintosh platform."

July, 2001 USA ATPM Review
http://www.atpm.com/
ConceptDraw Professional reviewed by Eric Blair.
"Now that the new operating system is out there, many users are
wondering when OS X versions of their favorite applications will
become available. If you use Mac OS X and ConceptDraw, your wait is
over - and if you haven't guessed, support for OS X is why an otherwise
minor update qualifies for a new review."

Spring, 2001 USA MacDirectory Article
http://www.macdirectory.com
Spring issue contains an amazing article about Computer Systems Odessa
and Odessa city in all with beautiful pictures.
"Macs in Odessa", words and images by Gregory Zhukov, President of CS-Odessa:
"One of the things the history books won't tell you about Odessa is its sense of
humor. When people leave this city keep that Odessian Lyfestyle in their hearts and
always value humor.
I often hear that New Year in Odessa begins at April, 1. That's not too far from the
truth.."
"The importance of the Internet as important source of information is growing for
Odessians. ...There are still quite a few Apple enthusiasts over here...But there'no
dedicated Macintosh
publications in the country like MacWorld or MacHome. It's also very sad that
some products available through Apple Store only- like Mac OS X public beta-can't be
acquired from the Ukraine, because it's not in the list of the countries Apple shops
to." - says Valeriy Ryazanov of Computer Systems Odessa.
"There is more to Odessa than computer circuits and a fine sense of humor.
The city is also a beautiful place to live. In the spring, the city is alive with
color of white acacia,
deep-green trees, brown bushwoods, black antique street latterns all nestled by the
deep translucency of the turquoise Black Sea..."- says Helen Nersesova, a life-long
resident of Odessa.

Spring, April, 2001 USA MacDirectory Review Rating: 3.5/5
http://www.macdirectory.com
Spring issue uncludes ConceptDraw review, written by Trey Yancy.
"Small Fish Drawing app Enters Big Pond. ConceptDraw, a cross platform drawing
program from CS-Odessa, is a study in contrasts. It is at once ambitious and
unimpressive, forward-thinking and behind the times. Rising from the shores of
southern Ukraine, it invades the West, prepared to give MacDraw the
drubbing of its life..."

April, 2001 USA Internet Developer, ADC Article
http://developer.apple.com
Internet Developer, ADC, article"Information Architecture", by technical writer Jason Cranford Teague.
"You can use any drawing program you wish to create a site map; however, specialized
software has evolved to address the specific needs of Web site diagraming. Currently,
Visio enjoys a lead in the domain of site map creation tools, but a new tool called
ConceptDraw may quickly catch up.
ConceptDraw from Computer Systems Odessa scores big points for being available in
both Macintosh and Windows versions. With ConceptDraw, Mac and Windows users can
share documents without conversion.
ConceptDraw uses a similar interface paradigm with pallets of predefined shapes and a
full set of standard drawing and editing tools for making your own shapes. You can
quickly create palettes of objects, complete with shapes and text fields, that you
use on a regular basis. Now, whenever you wish to add a page to your site, just grab
the predefined shape out of the library and use the connection tool to connect the
new page to the rest of the Web site."

March 16, 2001 USA Macworld Review Rating: 4/5
Drawing Program Crosses Platforms Elegantly, by Mel Beckman.
"ConceptDraw 1.5.5 is an inexpensive drawing application that lets you do traditional
drafting, technical diagramming, and even Web-page development. It includes novel
features not normally found in drawing programs, such as a programming language, and
runs equally well on both Mac and Windows platforms.
ConceptDraw includes a library of nearly 2,000 predrawn objects organized into
task-oriented libraries; you can add to these libraries or create your own. The
program can import and export a variety of formats -- PICT, BMP, JPEG, metafile, GIF,
HTML, and EPS -- and can interact with other programs through Microsoft's Object
Linking and Embedding. You can even e-mail documents from within ConceptDraw. The
program's HTML export lets you design and output all the components of a Web page.
The program is very responsive, and its functions are well-organized in a series of
tool bars"

March, 2001 UK 1984 Online, Macintosh e-zine Review Rating: n/a
http://www.1984-online.com
ConceptDraw reviewed by David Knopfler.
"The primary target audience is those who want to publish simple business style graphic solutions - like flow charts - on the web. The
package offers the promise of simple ways to create images for flow-charting, mind mapping, database diagrams.
...A well packaged, well thought out program and good value at its present price point. Any small business who needs to put complex graphics
online to transfer them via intranet or internet between staff may find this a god send..."

February, 2001 Switzerland InfoWeek.ch Review Rating: 5/6
http://www.infoweek.ch
ConceptDraw reviewed by Felix Raymann.

February, 2001 UK Mac Format Review Rating: 7/10
http://www.macformat.co.uk
ConceptDraw was reviewed in Issue 100, Mac Format February edition by DEREK SMITH.
"You could use ConceptDraw as a simpler and cheaper alternative to Illustrator.
ConceptDraw is designed to draw business charts and diagrams, and
gives you tools specific to this task.
An example of a family tree, you could draw a series of rectangles for each person,
using the built-in labelling tool to name them. You would connect each parent and
child to produce a family tree.
As new additions appear, you can move and make adjustments to the entry for each
family member without fear of becoming you uncle's father.
ConceptDraw can handle any type of diagramming, from flowcharts to database models,
via bar graphs and the odd Gant chart. Objects can perform and action when double
clicked, such as opening another page in the document, or going to a website.
Documents can easily be exported as HTML pages, with the graphics automatically being
converted into JPEG or GIF images.
After all, it does have the advantage of a near-monopoly."

February, 2001 USA The Cole Papers
http://colegroup.com
ConceptDraw have been reported in a US magazine The Cole Papers - as a write up to Macworld Expo by David M.Cole.
"I couldn't conclude this brief software review without mentioning the
people who traveled the farthest to their first Macworld Expo.
It demonstrates just how much the world, like the Macintosh,
has changed in the 17 years since the Mac was introduced.
Computer Systems Odessa Corp., of Odessa, Ukraine, came halfway
around the world to promote the company's product, ConceptDraw 1.6.
It is easy to use and makes great flow charts, business diagrams,
organizational schemes, plans ... anything that would look good in a flow chart-like
format.
It's for Mac and Windows, it can export the charts as HTML for use on the Web and
it's fairly straightforward."
