"Essendo distribuito dalla Active-Software non poteva che essere un programma localizzato in italiano, con manuali sia in formato cartaceo che elettronico anch’essi ovviamente in italiano e questo devo dire che da un notevole aiuto all’utilizzo di un programma di questo genere.
La cosa sicuramente più notevole di questo software è la grande quantità di librerie di oggetti che possiede, infatti ha più di 70 librerie che contengono circa 1500 oggetti, niente male vero? Si va dai mobili per disegnare la pianta di una casa o un ufficio, fino alle frecce e ai diagrammi per disegnare dei grafici o delle presentazioni..."

En quelques mots, ConceptDraw est un logiciel de création de dessins développé par Computer Systems Odessa Corp. Il ne s'agit pas d'un programme à ranger dans la catégorie des Photoshop et autres Illustrator. Ici le type de dessin est particulier; comme son nom l'indique il est conceptuel. Il est utilisé principalement dans la création d'organigrammes, de plans et schémas divers.

La puissance du logiciel réside dans l'utilisation de multiples outils pour manipuler les objets. Des formules plus ou moins complexes peuvent être utilisées et dans ce cas le contrôle des objets est illimité. Le repositionnement des objets se fait de manière intelligente grâce des des connecteurs entre les différents éléments qui permettent une redéfinition
des chemins. On évite ainsi des croisements entre les objets. Ces connecteurs permettent des applications diverses: schémas technologiques, procédures, organigrammes, plans de projets, etc...
